The XED10V2 features a smooth and rigid parabolic shaped polypropylene cone for clean, accurate sound reproduction even at high volume, Cerwin Vegas signature stitched high rolled surround and bumped backing plate for superior cone control even at high excursion, vented pole piece and basket for increased thermal management of the sensitive voice coil even at high power levels.

Oversized butyl rubber surround: a raised profile butyl rubber design securely attaches the moving cone to the frame, affording great flexibility whilst maintaining a rigid connection for longevity and efficiency.

Parabolic polypropylene cone: combining intelligent material choice with three dimensional design; the size, shape, and weight of the cone are all considered when designing a speaker so that a happy medium between volume and clarity can be achieved.

Bumped backing plate: the backing plate has been carefully designed to steal the most space for the movement of the voice coil, whilst keeping the footprint for installation down to a minimum.

Vented pole piece: sometimes overlooked, a vented pole piece allows heat to dissipate from the rear of the assembly, letting you play louder for longer.

Rubber magnet protector: featuring a protective dust boot, the rubber protectors give protection from scratches from during assembly, throughout the speaker's life as it protects from dust and debris.

Pressed steel basket: the black coated steel framework that gives the speaker its robustness is designed to give maximum space for the moving parts and free movement of air around the cone, whilst housing the magnet assembly without fear of bending or deformation.

XED, short for Xtreme Energy Density, are Cerwin Vega's entry level speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers. The XED series are the most affordable way to experience Cerwin Vega sound. Material selection, design and power handling is all pared back to the point that the spend efficiency matches the legendary power efficiency for which Cerwin Vega is renowned. That doesn't mean the gear is substandard, as Cerwin Vega are geniuses at moving the beads around the abacus to yield the best possible balance in every regard, ensuring XED speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers feature all the necessities you need but are largely free of superfluities you don't.
