Cerwin Vega Australia is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We do not store your full card details. Payments are processed by our payment provider, which handles card data directly.

We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

This store is hosted on Shopify, and some service providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. By using this site you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails where you have opted in. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies to keep your cart, remember preferences, and understand site usage.

We also use Google Analytics 4, and advertising tools from Meta and TikTok, which set cookies and may build a profile of your interests to show you relevant advertising on those platforms. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your account settings on each platform, and you can disable cookies in your browser — though parts of this site may then stop working.

Security and retention

We store personal information in a way that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We keep order and transaction records for at least 7 years, as required by Australian tax and record-keeping law. When personal information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we destroy or de-identify it.

Access, correction and deletion

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing enquiries@cerwinvega.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for making a request.

You may ask us to delete your personal information. We will do so except where we are legally required to retain it — for example, order and tax records within the 7 year retention period above.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, contact us first at enquiries@cerwinvega.com.au. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page. Changes apply to information collected from the date they are posted.
